This is our scanning system which consist of a touchscreen computer and a 60 page per minute duplex scanner. I am going to show you how to scan a typical repair order. Bring up our dealer scanning application. Click on repair orders. Place repair order in the scanner and click on the scanned repair order. This will start the scanning process which will scan all pages front and back and automatically read the repair order number. After scanning is complete the repair order number will be shown on the screen. For this example the repair order number is 995957. You can now confirm that the repair order number matches the number on the screen. Then click OK which converts the scan pages into a PDF document and save them into the system. To view the scan pages simply click on the view button which will bring up the repair order where you can easily view and navigate all the scanned pages. You also have the ability to scan small items like battery test printouts for service coupons. Simply load the small items into the scanner and click the scan other items button and they will be scanned and added to the existing repair order. You can view the scanned items by clicking the view button where you can see the items at the bottom of the PDF document. It is simple. Now, I am going to show you have service advisors, accounting, warranty administrators, parts department and technicians can easily retrieve the scanned repair orders. Each person will have the repair order viewer on their computer which allows them to look up repair orders by repair order number, vin number or customer name. For this example we will use the repair order we just scared which is 995957. Click search. The scanned record will be shown and by clicking on the scan page, you can see the contents of the scanned repair order. Here users can print or download or email the repair order document.
